Sponsor A Child.

I have had the incredible blessing of volunteering with Children of the Nations (COTN). They are a movement of people committed to transforming and empowering impoverished nations. One of the things I love most about their mission is that they focus on partnerships with nationals to empower and rebuild. You can read more about their mission, goals, and history here.

Through my volunteer work with COTN I was able to assist with the sponsorship program. I helped children write letters to their sponsors, took updated photos of the children, and helped transport letters from America to Sierra Leone and back. The sponsorship program provides a median for a direct relationship between a sponsor and a child. I have had the privilege of sponsoring four children through COTN, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences.

For $32 a month your sponsorship provides a child with education, nutritious food, medical care, and spiritual guidance. All necessary components to ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow into a strong leader who positively impacts their community.

The video below features Susan, a young woman I met back in 2010. She shares how sponsorship has transformed her life.
